General Instructions for Authors – Manuscript Submission
1-Eligibility and Originality
- Published manuscripts can be submitted for participation in conference activities ;specifically in posters section
-Manuscripts , to be presented on conference podium , must report original, unpublished research and must be relevant to one of the declared conference scientific tracks
-Simultaneous submission to other conferences or journals is strictly prohibited unless clearly disclosed at the time of submission.
-The submissions must be free from plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate image manipulation.
2-Manuscript Type and Length
Authors should submit full-length original research articles.
- Word count: 4,000–8,000 words (excluding references)
- Required manuscript sections:
- Title
- Authors’ Names and Affiliations
- Abstract (200–300 words)
- Keywords (4–6)
- Introduction
- Materials and Methods
- Results
- Discussion
- Conclusion
- Acknowledgments (if applicable)
- Funding Statement
- Conflict of Interest Statement
- References
- Tables and Figures
3-Language and Style
- Manuscripts must be written in clear, professional English (British or American English; consistency required).
- Authors are responsible for language editing and proofreading before submission.
- Manuscripts with poor language quality may be returned for revision or desk-rejected.
4. Formatting Guidelines
- File format: Microsoft Word (.docx)
- Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt
- Line spacing: Single or 1.5
- Paper size: A4
- Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides
Figures and Tables
- Must be embedded in the text at appropriate locations
- High resolution and clearly readable
- Numbered consecutively and provided with descriptive captions
- Images must not be manipulated beyond acceptable brightness/contrast adjustments
- Previously published figures require written permission and proper citation
References
- Use Vancouver style
- References must be numbered consecutively in order of first appearance in the text
Title Page
A separate title page must be submitted containing:
- Full names of all authors
- Institutional affiliations
- Corresponding author clearly identified
- Email address and ORCID ID (if available)
5. Ethical Requirements
Authors must declare that:
- The manuscript is original (except for posters) and free from plagiarism or misconduct
- All authors have approved the final version
- All ethical standards have been followed
Human and Animal Studies
- Studies involving humans or animals must include:
- Name of the ethics committee
- Approval number/code
- Date of approval
- Human studies must comply with the Declaration of Helsinki
- Animal studies must follow international ethical guidelines (e.g., ARRIVE or institutional standards)
- Informed consent must be stated where applicable
6. Plagiarism and Similarity Check
- All manuscripts will be screened using plagiarism detection software.
- The acceptable similarity index must not exceed 15–20%, excluding references.
- Self-plagiarism is not permitted.
- Manuscripts exceeding the acceptable limit will be rejected without review.
7. Authorship and Contributions
- All listed authors must have made significant scientific contributions to the work.
- An author contribution statement is required or strongly recommended.
- Changes in authorship (addition, removal, or order) after submission are not allowed without written consent from all authors.
8. Funding and Conflict of Interest
- All sources of financial support or sponsorship must be disclosed.
- If no funding was received, authors should state:
“This research received no specific grant from any funding agency.” - Authors must declare any financial or non-financial conflicts of interest.
- If none exist, include:
“The authors declare no conflict of interest.”
9. Data Availability and Transparency
- Authors must retain original data and provide it upon request.
- A data availability statement is encouraged, indicating whether data are publicly available, restricted, or available upon reasonable request.
10. Supplementary Materials
- Supplementary files (additional data, figures, or protocols) may be submitted.
- Supplementary materials will be reviewed but may not appear in printed proceedings.
11. Submission Process
Manuscripts must be submitted through one of the following methods:
- Via the conference website submission portal (Indico system):

Cover Letter
Each submission must include a cover letter stating:
- The scientific significance of the work(and novelty for submitted articles for podium presentation or for publishing in conference related journals )
- Relevance to the conference themes
- Disclosure of any conflicts of interest
Deadline
- Full manuscript submission deadline: 1st October 2026
(Deadlines may be updated on the conference website; abstract deadlines for presentations may differ.)
12. Peer Review Process
- All submissions will undergo peer review by the Scientific Committee.
- The review process may be single-blind or double-blind (as determined by the conference).
- Submissions may be presented as posters based on Scientific committee decision.
- Authors may be requested to revise manuscripts in response to reviewers’ comments within a specified timeframe.
- Editorial decisions are final.
13. Acceptance, Registration, and Presentation
- Acceptance of a manuscript is conditional upon conference registration.
- At least one author must attend and present the paper.
- Failure to present may result in exclusion from the conference proceedings.
14. Publication Opportunity
Selected high-quality manuscripts may be invited for publication in special issues of affiliated journals, including Scopus- or Clarivate-indexed journals, besides the Iraqi Journal of Pharmaceutical Science (Scopus Q2).
Journal-specific guidelines will be provided after acceptance.
15. Copyright and Disclaimer
- Upon acceptance, authors agree to transfer publication rights to the conference organizers.
- Authors retain the right to use their work for academic and educational purposes with proper citation.
- The conference organizers are not responsible for the accuracy of data or opinions expressed in submitted manuscripts.
16. Author Checklist (Before Submission)
