Abstract

Abstract
Historically, Sulphonamide considered as an extremely important class of pharmaceuticals having various medicinal application. Generally speaking, it has a wide range of biological activity including but not limited to anticancer, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, anticonvulsant and anti-hypertensive effect. In the past few decades, more and more of articles related to the significance of sulphonamide derivative have been published proving their suspected efficiency in dealing with current and futuristic healthcare issues.
One of the biggest problems that we may encounter in the current era is antimicrobial resistance, a growing issue exacerbated in a quick manner affecting different forms of life including both humans and animals. spreading of resistant genes, the real reason behind bacterial resistance, among different microbial organisms are mainly triggered by drug misuse, drug overuse and to lesser extent by the natural process of gene mutations.
Sulfanilamide is an FDA approved drug belonging to the family of sulphonamide drugs. Many studies related to sulfanilamide derivatives have shown a promising activity against resistant microbial species, including both gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria, yeast, Mycobacterium tuberculosis and many others.
Our Aim in this Research is to synthesize new compounds to confront bacterial resistance. This will be achieved firstly by conducting an In-silico studies to investigate the potency, efficacy and safety of our proposed compounds then synthesize the promising ones by reacting sulphanilamide with ethyl bromo acetate and further hydrazinolysed by hydrazine hydrate to form N-acylhydrazone compound Ready to be reacted with different substitued aldehydes implying biphenyl cardbaldehyde and naphthyldehyde cores to form new N-acyl hydrazone shiff bases. These compound were characterized using Spectroscopic techniques including ATR-IR , ¹H-NMR, ¹³C-NMR confirming the formation and purity of these products.
