نظّم مركز إحياء التراث العلمي العربي في جامعة بغداد صباح يوم الاحد الموافق ٢٠٢٦/٩/٦ في تمام الساعة العاشرة صباحاً سمناراً علمياً بعنوان ( المتاحف بوابة التاريخ ورحلة ثقافية عبر الزمن ) بحضور جمع من الأساتذة والباحثين والمختصين في مجال التراث والآثار وعلى قاعة الاستاذة نبيلة عبد المنعم داود في المركز . ألقى المحاضرة الاستاذ الدكتور ليث مجيد حسين مدير المركز متحدثاً عن الأهمية الحضارية والثقافية للمتاحف بوصفها شواهد حية تحفظ ذاكرة الشعوب وتجسد موروثها الإنساني فضلاً عن دورها التعليمي والتوعوي في إتاحة المعرفة للأجيال القادمة وتعزيز الانتماء الوطني تخلله عرض مصور واستعراض شامل لمقتنيات المتحف وأروقته أتاح للحاضرين الاطلاع على نماذج من آثاره ونفائسه التراثية. وقد تناولت المحاضرة جوانب متعددة شملت تحويل القطع الأثرية والتراثية إلى أدوات حية تسرد القصة الحضارية للأمم واستعراض الدور التربوي والأكاديمي الذي تلعبه المؤسسات المتحفية في دمج المجتمع بالتاريخ إضافة إلى التطرق للتقنيات الحديثة والعروض التفاعلية الرقمية التي تسهم في إثراء رحلة الزائر عبر الزمن. وشهدت المحاضرة في ختامها حواراً ومداخلات مستفيضة من الحضور مؤكدين على أهمية استمرار هذه المحاضرات الأكاديمية التي تسهم في تسليط الضوء على حفظ التراث وتوثيقه .
On the morning of Sunday, September 6, 2026, at 10:00 AM, the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage at the University of Baghdad hosted a scholarly seminar titled "Museums: A Gateway to History and a Cultural Journey Through Time." Held in the Center’s Nabila Abdul-Moneim Daoud Hall, the event was attended by a group of professors, researchers, and specialists in the fields of heritage and archaeology. The lecture was delivered by the Center’s Director, Professor Dr. Laith Majeed Hussein, who discussed the civilizational and cultural significance of museums as living testaments that preserve the memory of peoples and embody their human heritage. He also highlighted their educational and awareness-raising roles in making knowledge accessible to future generations and fostering a sense of national belonging. The session included a visual presentation and a comprehensive overview of the museum’s collections and galleries, allowing attendees to view examples of its artifacts and heritage treasures. The lecture covered various aspects, including the transformation of archaeological and heritage artifacts into living tools that narrate the civilizational stories of nations, and the educational and academic role museums play in connecting society with history. It also addressed modern technologies and interactive digital displays that enrich the visitor's journey through time. The event concluded with an extensive discussion and comments from the audience, who emphasized the importance of continuing such academic lectures to highlight the preservation and documentation of heritage.
