The Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage at the University of Baghdad organized a distinguished scientific seminar on the morning of Sunday, April 12, 2026, entitled "Al-Astarabadi Market in Al-Kadhimiya: A Renewed Heritage." The seminar was presented by Dr. Imtithal Kadhim Sarhan, a faculty member at our Center, and was attended by a select group of professors and researchers in the Hall of Professor Nabeela Abdul-Munim Dawood.
In her lecture, Dr. Sarhan discussed the historical and cultural significance of Al-Astarabadi Market as one of the most prominent heritage landmarks in the city of Al-Kadhimiya. She reviewed its origins and development throughout the ages, as well as its vital role in the economic and social life of the area.
