دورة تدريبية تنظمها كلية علوم الهندسة الزراعية
نظم قسم علوم التربة والموارد المائية كلية علوم الهندسة الزراعية، بالتعاون مع وحدة التعليم المستمر، دورة تدريبية بعنوان: "تأثير التلوث البلاستيكي في خصائص التربة: المفاهيم والتطبيقات"، برعاية عميد كلية علوم الهندسة الزراعية الأستاذ الدكتورة اميرة محمد صالح، وإشراف رئيس القسم الأستاذ الدكتورة شذى ماجد نفاوه، وحضور عدد من تدريسيي القسم.
تضمنت الدورة محاضرتين علميتين، أولاهما قدمها المدرس الدكتور حسين عبد علي عيسى بعنوان "تأثير حرق النفايات على خصائص التربة ودور البيانات الفضائية في المراقبة البيئية"، حيث تم تسليط الضوء على مخاطر التلوث البيئي الناتج عن حرق النفايات وأثره في خصائص التربة الفيزيائية والكيميائية والحيوية، مع بيان دور تقانات الاستشعار عن بعد في رصد مواقع التلوث وتتبع انتشار الملوثات لدعم الإدارة البيئية المستدامة.
كما قدمت المدرس الدكتورة ولدان علي عبد الأمير المحاضرة الثانية بعنوان "الملوثات البلاستيكية تهديد صامت للتربة والأحياء المجهرية والنبات"، والتي تناولت مخاطر التلوث بالجسيمات البلاستيكية الدقيقة وتأثيرها في الأحياء المجهرية ونمو النبات، وإمكانية انتقالها عبر السلسلة الغذائية، مع التأكيد على أهمية ترشيد استخدام البلاستيك في الزراعة وإيجاد بدائل صديقة للبيئة حفاظاً على استدامة النظم الزراعية والموارد الطبيعية.
ليحقق هذا النشاط مجموعة من أهداف التنمية المستدامة والمتمثلة بالهدف الرابع (التعليم الجيد) والهدف الثالث عشر (العمل المناخي).
A Training Course Organized by the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences
The Department of Soil Science and Water Resources at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, organized a training course entitled “The Effect of Plastic Pollution on Soil Properties: Concepts and Applications.” The course was held under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, Prof. Dr. Ameera Mohammed Saleh, and under the supervision of the Head of the Department, Prof. Dr. Shatha Majid Nafawa, with the attendance of a number of the department’s academic staff members.
The course included two scientific lectures. The first lecture was delivered by Lecturer Dr. Hussein Abdul Ali Issa and was entitled “The Effect of Waste Burning on Soil Properties and the Role of Spatial Data in Environmental Monitoring.” The lecture highlighted the risks of environmental pollution resulting from waste burning and its impact on the physical, chemical, and biological properties of soil. It also explained the role of remote sensing technologies in monitoring pollution sites and tracking the spread of pollutants to support sustainable environmental management.
The second lecture was delivered by Lecturer Dr. Wildan Ali Abdul Ameer and was entitled “Plastic Pollutants: A Silent Threat to Soil, Microorganisms, and Plants.” The lecture addressed the risks of microplastic pollution and its effects on microorganisms and plant growth, as well as the possibility of its transfer through the food chain. It also emphasized the importance of rationalizing the use of plastic in agriculture and adopting environmentally friendly alternatives to preserve the sustainability of agricultural systems and natural resources.
This activity contributes to achieving a number of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4: Quality Education and Goal 13: Climate Action.
