A training course on irrigation water management, organized by the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering.
Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Agricultural Engineering, Professor Dr. Amira Mohammed Saleh, and under the supervision of the Head of the Department of Soil Sciences and Water Resources, Assistant Professor Dr. Shaza Majed Nafawa, and in line with the Sustainable Development Goals of quality education and responsible consumption and production, the Department of Soil Sciences and Water Resources, in cooperation with the Department of Combating Desertification and the Continuing Education Unit at the College, held a training course entitled "Irrigation Water Management in Field Experiments." Presented by Dr. Hadeel Amer Jabbar from the Department of Soil Sciences and Water Resources and Dr. Marwan Musa Nasr from the Department of Combating Desertification.
The training course aimed to increase water use efficiency, improve crop productivity, reduce water loss due to evaporation or seepage, improve soil quality, prevent salinization, and preserve water resources for future generations.
