On Thursday morning, December 18, 2025, at 10:00 AM, the Manuscripts Department at the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage, University of Baghdad, organized its scientific seminar entitled (World Arabic Language Day), in the presence of a select group of researchers and academics specializing in the Arabic language, in the hall of Professor Nabila Abdul-Moneim Dawood, in celebration of the scientific and cultural status of the Arabic language. The session was chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Iman Saleh Mahdi and its rapporteur, Assistant Lecturer Zainab Jamal Nawrouz, both faculty members at our center. The seminar began with a lecture by Assistant Lecturer Farah Ghanem Saleh from the College of Education for Girls, Department of Arabic Language, who spoke about the importance of the Arabic language in building cultural identity and strengthening intellectual belonging and inherited Arab customs and traditions. This was followed by a lecture by Lecturer Dr. Alia Nafie Kafi from Al-Khwarizmi College of Engineering, University of Baghdad, who highlighted the role of Arabic in producing knowledge throughout the ages and its contribution to global knowledge presence. She described the language as a story of letters, sounds, and belonging. Then, Lecturer Dr. Liqaa Al-Sharifi, a faculty member at our center, spoke about the Arabic Language Festival in China and the promotion of cultural understanding between the two peoples, which is a product of a long history of cultural and religious exchange. The sessions concluded with a lecture by Assistant Lecturer Alaa Yassin Mahmoud from the College of Education for Women, Department of Arabic Language, who spoke about the Arabic language, its development, its connection to artificial intelligence, and contemporary issues related to preserving the integrity of the Arabic language in educational institutions and the media, as well as mechanisms to support the younger generation in using correct Arabic in daily life. This event is part of a series of annual scientific activities organized by the center to revive heritage and preserve Arab, linguistic, and popular cultural heritage. At the end of the seminar, the center's administration thanked the researchers, wishing them continued success in serving our university and our beloved Iraq.
