Description
Relapse is a major clinical issue for orthodontist and patients. Currently, only mechanical retention is used after orthodontic treatment. Theoretically, biological intervention accelerates tissue recovery after treatment and reduces or eliminates the need for mechanical retention. So, this study aimed to use CaCO3 nanoparticles (NP), with and without recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein (rhBMP-2) as biological intervention to prevent or reduce relapse after orthodontic tooth movement (OTM) in rats.
