Effective adhesion between orthodontic fixed devices and dental surfaces is a fundamental subsequent target of the enamel conditioning technique. Although conventional acid-etching of enamel surface has proven to provide durable bracket bonding, this technique imposes numerous iatrogenic enamel damaging effects. This study has the purpose of developing remineralizing calcium-phosphate (CaP) etchant pastes as an enamel-friendly conditioning system as mixing capsule formula before bracket bonding and investigating the bonding performance, effect on mechanical and morphological enamel properties, failure pattern, and enamel surface integrity post bracket debonding in comparison with the conventional phosphoric acid (PA) etchant gel.
