Electrochemotherapy (ECT) is a combination therapy that uses low-power electric fields to increase the permeability of tumor cells to chemotherapeutic drugs. This allows the drugs to reach and kill a greater number of cancer cells. ECT is a promising new treatment for a variety of cancers, including skin cancer, head and neck cancer, and bladder cancer.
