Description
ALSO (Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics) is a training program designed to improve the management of obstetric emergencies. It provides healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to manage emergencies that can arise during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum periods. The program is based on the latest evidence-based guidelines and is delivered through a combination of interactive lectures, hands-on skill stations, and simulated scenarios. ALSO training covers a range of topics, including maternal and fetal physiology, assessment of maternal and fetal wellbeing, management of obstetric hemorrhage, shoulder dystocia, and neonatal resuscitation. The target audience for ALSO training includes obstetricians, midwives, family medicine physicians, and other healthcare professionals who provide care to pregnant women. Ultimately, the goal of ALSO is to improve the safety and quality of care for women and newborns by enhancing the knowledge and skills of healthcare professionals who manage obstetric emergencies.
