Clear aligners have become an increasingly popular orthodontic treatment option due to their aesthetic appearance, improved comfort, and removability. Despite these advantages, clear aligners have several clinical limitations that may affect their effectiveness in managing complex malocclusions. One of the main limitations is the reduced ability to achieve certain tooth movements, particularly significant root torque, bodily movement, extrusion of anterior teeth, and rotation of cylindrical teeth such as canines and premolars. These movements often require auxiliary attachments or additional mechanics, and even then the predictability may remain lower compared to conventional fixed appliances
