to mimic natural body hormones, primarily divided
into corticosteroids (for reducing inflammation)
and anabolic androgenic steroids (for muscle
growth and male traits). They are used medically
to treat conditions like asthma, arthritis, or
hormone deficiencies, but are often abused to
boost athletic performance.
