هدفت الورشة الى توضيح دور التخطيط الحضري في خلق بيئات عمرانية قادرة على توفير خيارات سكنية متنوعة وعادلة، الى جانب التعريف بمفاهيم السكن الملائم وأثره في جودة الحياة الحضرية، و رفع الوعي المهني والأكاديمي بأهمية العلاقة بين التخطيط الحضري وسياسات الإسكان، وتعزيز إدراك طلبة الدراسات العليا الى فهم التحديات الراهنة للسكن في المدن العراقية ومتطلبات معالجتها بالتخطيط المستدام.
A training workshop presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Sarah Mahmoud Habiter, a faculty member at the center.
The workshop aimed to clarify the role of urban planning in creating built environments capable of providing diverse and equitable housing options. It also aimed to introduce the concepts of adequate housing and its impact on the quality of urban life, raise professional and academic awareness of the importance of the relationship between urban planning and housing policies, and enhance graduate students' understanding of the current housing challenges in Iraqi cities and the requirements for addressing them through sustainable planning.
