University theses and dissertations are among the most prominent manifestations of academic output in higher education institutions. They represent the culmination of the research effort expended by students to obtain advanced degrees. However, this effort is not evaluated solely on the basis of methodology and academic content; rather, the correctness and accuracy of language play a crucial role in determining the quality of these academic works. Therefore, correcting common linguistic errors is an essential step toward improving the overall quality of theses and dissertations.
