بأشراف الأستاذ الدكتور ليث مجيد حسين مدير مركز احياء التراث العلمي العربي في جامعة بغداد نظم قسم العلوم الصرفة في مركزنا صباح يوم الاثنين الموافق ٢٢\٩\٢٠٢٥ في تمام الساعة العاشرة صباحاً وعلى قاعة الأستاذة نبيلة عبد المنعم داود وبحضور عدد من الأساتذة والاكاديميين حلقة نقاشية خارج الخطة بعنوان ( أثر الوعي الاجتماعي في حماية الشباب من المخدرات ) ترأس الجلسة الأستاذ الدكتور طه سبتي إبراهيم التدريسي في مركزنا وألقى المحاضرة الدكتور حيدر غالي وادي \ كلية الطب – جامعة بغداد متحدثاَ عن اثر الوعي المجتمعي في حماية الشباب من المخدرات معرفه هو الفهم الجمعي لإفراد المجتمع لمشاكله وقيمته واحتياجاته وأهدافه المشتركة حيث ان للوعي المجتمعي اثر كبير في خلق مجتمع صحي يتمتع بمستوى عال من الكفاءة والقدرة على مواجهة التحديات المختلفة ومن هذه التحديات قضية المخدرات فكلما زاد الوعي لدى الشباب كلما انحسرت مستويات الجريمة والمخدرات مؤكداً على دور الاسرة والمجتمع والحكومات في تعزيز الوعي المجتمعي عن طريق توفير الحماية الاجتماعية اللازمة لفئة الشباب وقد تخللت الحلقة عدة نقاشات حول الموضوع الذي له الأهمية في وقتنا الحالي وقد شكرت إدارة المركز المحاضر متمنين له دوام الموفقية والنجاح .
Under the supervision of Professor Dr. Laith Majeed Hussein, Director of the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage at the University of Baghdad, the Department of Pure Sciences at Center organized, on Monday, September 22, 2025, in Professor Nabeela Abdul-Munem Dawood Hall, a special symposium (outside the academic plan) entitled:
“The Impact of Social Awareness in Protecting Youth from Drugs.”
The session was chaired by Professor Dr. Taha Subti Ibrahim, a faculty member in the Center, and the lecture was delivered by Dr. Haider Ghali Wadi from the College of Medicine – University of Baghdad, who spoke about the effect of social awareness in protecting young people from drugs.
He defined social awareness as the collective understanding of the members of society of its problems, values, needs, and common goals. He emphasized that social awareness has a significant impact on creating a healthy society that enjoys a high level of efficiency and the ability to face various challenges, including the issue of drugs. He explained that the higher the level of awareness among young people, the lower the rates of crime and drug use. Dr. Wadi also stressed the role of the family, society, and governments in promoting social awareness by providing the necessary social protection for the youth group.
The symposium included several discussions on this highly relevant topic in our present time. The Center’s administration thanked the lecturer and wished him continued success and prosperity.
