هدفت الرسالة إلى الكشف عن طبيعة المعالجة التحريرية، وتحديد أبرز القضايا البيئية التي حظيت بالاهتمام، وأنواع المصادر المستخدمة، بالإضافة إلى الزوايا التحريرية التي اعتمدتها القناتان في تغطيتهما للملف البيئي.

The thesis aimed to reveal the nature of the editorial treatment, identify the most prominent environmental issues that received attention, the types of sources used, and the editorial angles adopted by the two channels in their coverage of the environmental issue.
