التطرف العنيف هو تبنّي أفكار أو معتقدات متطرفة تُبرّر استخدام العنف لتحقيق أهداف سياسية، دينية، أو أيديولوجية. وغالبًا ما يؤدي هذا النوع من التطرف إلى أعمال إرهابية، تجنيد الشباب، وزعزعة الأمن المجتمعي.

Violent extremism refers to the adoption of extreme ideas or beliefs that justify the use of violence to achieve political, religious, or ideological goals. This type of extremism often leads to acts of terrorism, the recruitment of youth, and the destabilization of communities.
