Under the supervision by prof. Dr. Alaa Nafea Jasim (the director of the center ) Baghdad documentation department in the center of heritage revival /university of Baghdad organized scientific symposium entitled (the role of artificial intelligence in serving heritage ) where sited in Nabila A. Dawood on Wednesday 5th/2/2025 with oresence by many numbers of professors and researchers , the session is headed by Dr. Leqaa Amer Ashur . the first lecture is presented by instructor Dr. Mohamad Alaa Hussein Al-timimi (college of Al khawarzmy engineering ( who presents a research entitled (the role of artificial intelligence in reviving worldly heritage) who talked about the conception of artificial intelligence In digitizing various sectors in preserving world heritage from the natural factors of time, neglect and illicit trafficking of antiquities, in introducing artificial intelligence systems to these challenges in the reconstruction of archaeological sites and the restoration of artworks, Al-Tamimi emphasized the importance of identifying stolen artifacts and future applications in tourism antiquities programs and the revival of historical monuments. The following lecture was given by instructor. Dr. Imtithal Kazem Sarhan, a lecturer from our center, and the title of her research is (The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Preserving Cultural Heritage and How It Can Develop in the Future), knowing that intelligence is one of the most important technological applications in the modern era, which is based on the application of specific programs in the service of modern civilization, including heritage in all its forms. The researcher added that artificial intelligence enters the field of management efficiency, preservation of cultural heritage, information prediction and sustainable development. Then the lecture was also given by Asst. Prof. Dr. Khamail Shaker Al-Jamali, College of Islamic Sciences, University of Baghdad, whose research was titled (Employing Artificial Intelligence in Preserving Cultural Heritage), spoke about the advancement of digital technologies and their vital role in ensuring the longevity and accessibility of our shared cultural heritage by harnessing the intricate details of artworks and artifacts. These artifacts are not only treasures but are valuable historical records that provide insight into different societies and cultures. Al-Jamali emphasized the importance of heritage for future generations to learn from and appreciate the richness of human history. The lecture was delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Asmaa Hamid Rashid - Department of Engineering, Al-Nahrain University - Her research is titled (Artificial Intelligence and its Role in Preserving Our Ancient Heritage) Intelligence is a revolution based on information technology that is used in many different aspects of life. This broad science (A.I.) has been used to preserve our ancient heritage in its various aspects, including preserving the linguistic and cultural heritage of our civilization, restoring antiquities, determining the three-dimensional visualization of damaged antiquities and sites, and determining high-resolution maps for archaeological excavations. The lecturer also emphasized finding and identifying fraud and forgery in the reality of antiquities and attributing them to their original source. In conclusion, the director of the center thanked the lecturers, wishing them continued success in serving Baghdad university and great Iraq.
