هدفت الدراسة التعرف الى طبيعة المسؤولية الجزائية والاجتماعية للصحفي في التشريع الاعلامي العراقي والتعرف الى طبيعة العمل الصحفي بعد الغاء محكمة النشر والاعلام العراقية 

The study aimed to identify the nature of the criminal and social responsibility of the journalist in Iraqi media legislation and to identify the nature of journalistic work after the abolition of the Iraqi Publication and Media Court.
