القيادة هي عملية تفاعلية بين القائد والاتباع، يستخدم فيها القائد نفوذه وسلطته لإحداث التغيير المرغوب في سلوك الاتباع واتجاهاتهم وانتمائهم. القيادة تعتمد على رؤية القائد للمستقبل، وقدرته على إقناع الاتباع بضرورة تحقيق تلك الرؤية، وإلهامهم لبذل أفضل ما لديهم لإنجاز المهام المطلوبة.
Leadership is an interactive process between the leader and the followers, in which the leader uses his influence and authority to bring about the desired change in the followers’ behavior, attitudes, and affiliation. Leadership depends on the leader’s vision for the future, his ability to convince followers of the necessity of achieving that vision, and inspiring them to do their best to accomplish the required tasks.
