The understanding of the aerodynamic characteristics of airfoils with plain flaps during take-off phase is crucial due to the behavior of the flow at low angles of attack and low Reynolds numbers. The possibility of stall is expected to be high which leads to loss of control, hence, loss of the aircraft.
