تعدّ التربية عملية نفسية واجتماعية معاً ، نفسية من حيث أنها تعتمد في مبادئها على فهم نفسية الطفل واستعداده ، واجتماعية تهيئ الطفل ليكون عضواً صالحاً في المجتمع الذي يعيش فيه 

 

Education is both a psychological and social process. It is psychological in that its principles depend on understanding the child’s psychology and readiness, and social in that it prepares the child to be a good member of the society in which he lives.
