Orthodontic retention is pivotal to preserving post-treatment tooth positions. Fixed
retainers offer long-term stability but are prone to adhesive failures. This study aimed to compare
the bond strength of lingual retainers using two adhesives (self-priming light-cured adhesive and
two-step light-cured adhesive) and four types of lingual retainer wires (8-strands braided,
stainless steel chain, 3-strand titanium, and fiber-reinforced) on extracted bovine teeth.
