Ramadan is the holy month in which all Muslims abstain from eating and drinking from sunrise to sunset. It is obligatory for all except children, travelers, and sick people who can fast on other days. Ramadan fasting ameliorates inflammatory and oxidative stress markers that have a beneficial effect on the general and oral health of humans.
