Ceramic restorations are increasingly more typically encountered in adult orthodontic patients seeking treatment. Since the glazed surface of ceramic materials is inert for bonding with adhesive resin, it necessitates the development of a suitable technique for bonding brackets to ceramic restorations without damaging the ceramic surface. As a result, this study aims to compare the shear bond strength (SBS), adhesive remnant index (ARI), and surface topography of the ceramic surface after etching with the Er, Cr: YSGG laser to the conventional acid-etch techniques.
