"Cardiovascular diseases in women: What do we know and what do we need to know?" is aimed at healthcare professionals, researchers, and individuals interested in understanding the unique aspects of cardiovascular disease (CVD) in women. The goal of this lecture is to provide an overview of the current state of knowledge on CVD in women, including its prevalence, risk factors, and clinical presentation. The lecture also highlights gaps in knowledge and research, such as the under-representation of women in clinical trials, and the need to develop sex-specific diagnostic and treatment guidelines. The lecture aims to raise awareness among healthcare professionals and researchers about the importance of addressing CVD in women, and to encourage further research and collaboration in this area. Overall, the lecture aims to improve the understanding of CVD in women, and ultimately lead to improved prevention, diagnosis, and treatment for this population.
