هدفت الندوة الى تعريف الباحثين والمخططين واصحاب العلاقة بآلية إحصاء البيانات إبان كتابة بحوثهم ودراستهم النظرية باستخدام نظام SPSS، وارشادهم حول إمكانية تطبيق تلك الإحصائيات على ارض الواقع، وتناولت التعريف بدور الاحصاء في التخطيط عبر تحديد المشكلة وجمع البيانات وعرضها وتحليلها وبالتالي اتخاذ القرار.
جاءت التوصيات على ان الدولة توفير المؤشرات الإحصائية اللازمة لتحقيق اهداف التنمية المستدامة بجانب عدد المؤشرات الإحصائية التي يمكن الحصول عليها من الجهاز المركزي للإحصاء.

The symposium aimed to introduce researchers, planners, and stakeholders to the mechanism of data statistics while writing their research and theoretical studies using the SPSS system, and to guide them on the possibility of applying these statistics on the ground. It dealt with introducing the role of statistics in planning by defining the problem, collecting data, presenting it, analyzing it, and thus making a decision.
The recommendations stated that the state should provide the necessary statistical indicators to achieve sustainable development goals, in addition to the number of statistical indicators that can be obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics.
